The music of Jethro Tull is an integral part of my life. If I were to be sent out in space, I will surely throw in couple of CDs with me - "20 Years Set", "Songs From The Wood", "Living In The Past" & if there is space left, every other CD. Starting with the Blues oriented "This Was", to the pop album "Under Wraps" and to the hard rock album "Crest Of A Knave", you got all kinds of music in their catalog. And not to mention the great Flute playing prowess of Ian Anderson - just listen to "A Little Light Music" and "Bursting Out" for live improvisations. Martin Barre is also a pretty good guitarist & an under-rated one at that "Crest Of A Knave", "Aqualung", "Benefit" etc. I do have all their albums except for "Under Wraps". I have some of the albums on tape & others on CD. And a gold LP of Aqualung.
I was fortunate enough to see them live in Atlanta in 1998. It was probably one of the exciting moment of my life. It was a fabulous one & they played almost every song that I love - to mention a few: Budapest, Bouree, Fat Man & Living in the Past. I saw them in Sunrise Theatre, Fort Lauderdale ( June 23rd, 2000 ) & House of Blues, Orlando ( June 25th, 2000 ). This was excellent to say the least. They played some old numbers like "For A Thousand Mothers", "Dharma for One" & the incredible "With You there to Help Me" with the reverse flute intro. It was a memorable weekend.
