Led Zeppelin was one of the biggest bands in the early 70s. They beat almost every live record that The Beatles or The Stones held. It is no surprise that I am a fan of Led Zeppelin. They can play 10 versions of the same song. The live improvisations are awesome & the rhythm section of the band was the best during their times. John Paul Jones can play around 20 different instruments I guess and Bonham can beat the hell out of any drum kit. He was the best - next only to probably Keith Moon. Robert Plant's soaring vocals can be heard over the guitar in live performances. And Jimmy Page is the ultimate rock guitarist along with his contemporaries. I will not get into any discussion about who is the best guitarist because that will get me into flaming territory :-) My first concert in the US was Jimmy Page / Robert Plant at the Pyramid, Memphis. It was great & I got to watch Page's violin bow technique on Dazed & Confused. I am right now working on creating a CD of just acoustic numbers of Led Zeppelin starting from Black Mountain Side, White Summer to Thank You (**Unledded version**). Enjoy the link below.
